This three year $633 million expansion involved total renovation and expansion to transform an existing lodge-like casino/hotel complex into a sophisticated world-class resort in the Great Smoky Mountains. The project positions Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel as the premier gaming destination in the Southeast and a first-rate entertainment and tourism destination.

The expansion and remodel includes a 300,000-square-foot casino with 4,700 slot machines, five new restaurants, 520-key hotel, 2,800-seat event center, casino lounge, entertainment lounge, VIP lounge and new spa. The project is opening in phases through the beginning of 2013.

Expanded dining selections include a new branded Food Court featuring Johnny Rockets, Dunkin’ Donuts, UNO Pizza and Boar’s Head Deli. Snacks, sandwiches and coffee are featured at the Lobby Café in the hotel. The Noodle Bar, Le Fu Men, specializes in Asian fare. Chef’s Stage Buffet showcases interactive stations and offers tastes from around the world with Italian, Mexican, Asian, Comfort Food, Barbeque, a Soup & Salad station and Desserts of the World. The Ruth Chris Steakhouse and Brio Tuscan Grill opened in spring 2012. The VIP lounge includes a bar and its own kitchen.
