275 Beds

New Cafeteria

Sherman Hospital relocated to a 154 acre Greenfield site. Everything about the hospital is built with the patient in mind. From all-private spacious rooms, many with views of their geothermal lake to an emergency department with reduced wait times and efficient design, the hospital is set to be the community hospital focused on healing. Patients can choose their menus and meal times, through a restaurant-style menu and guests eat at the new food court with more choices, cooked-to-order dishes and a stunning outdoor patio overlooking the lake.

The Hospital includes 275 licensed beds with approximate census of 225-250. It also includes a 100,000 square foot attached medical office building. The foodservice department will serve 200 patient trays per meal, the service methodology is room service. In addition to the retail café that serves 850 transactions at lunch, the project included a physician’s lounge, two conference room pantries and a coffee shop.

This work involved assisting with the patient service, non-patient services and food production system planning and programming. We provided schematic design, equipment selection, design development documents including MEP connection information; architectural, engineering and interior design coordination; complete equipment contract documents; bid review and construction administration.
