St. Francis Regional Medical Center provides comprehensive, high-quality regional health care as a partner with Essentia Community Hospitals and Clinics, Allina Hospitals & Clinics and Park Nicollet Health Services. They provide a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency care services on a collaborative medical campus with more than 30 other providers. They offer restaurant-style room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Patients are free to create their own meals, including soup, salad, entrĂ©es, desserts, specialty items or snacks. A host takes the patient’s order from his or her room, prepares the meal fresh and then personally delivers the order.

The retail cafe offers a variety of fresh culinary options, including ethnic cuisine, while serving 500 guests and 80 patient meals at lunch. Over 85 percent of the items in the cafeteria are homemade. Options include grab-n-go meals, hot specials, innovation station, salad and sandwich bar, homemade soups, snacks, and desserts. There are also various healthy menu options for low-sodium, low-fat and low-sugar diets.

Our work included foodservice facilities design for the phases of Programming and Schematic Design, Design Development, Contract Documents and Review.
