This two-phase, multi-year project significantly improves housing and food service facilities and increases residence hall capacity to address the demand for on-campus housing. The new Four Lakes Market serves as the main dining facility for the Lakeshore neighborhood. This 39,200 GSF marketplace located inside Dejope Hall offers a wide variety of dining venues, as well as a convenience store, coffeehouse, grab-and-go and seating for 500 diners. The concepts include Great Greens salad bar, Buckingham Bakery, Buona Cucina, Delicious, Fired Up, 1849, Global Kitchen and Maki-Mono & Noodles. The Bean and Creamery serves as a coffeehouse and ice cream shoppe. Flamingo Run convenience store offers beverages, groceries and snacks in a hip retail setting. The project also includes a Commissary to produce sandwiches and salads to be transported to other dining locations, supporting storage areas, kitchen and warewashing. The second phase includes two foodservice facilities; the renovation of the existing student dining facility into a catering kitchen and a demonstration/teaching kitchen. Lakeshore Phase II is currently pursuing LEED silver certification.
